On April 30, more than 5,000 fans are expected to gather at the historic Old Joliet Prison for “The Big House Ballgame,” featuring the Joliet Slammers against the Gateway Grizzlies.
The game is part of the Route 66 Centennial Kickoff and will be the largest event ever held at the former prison, which dates back to 1858.
