AIKEN, S.C. (WJBF) – Looking for a new best friend? The Aiken County Animal Shelter, in conjunction with Friends Of The Animal Shelter (FOTAS), will host its annual “Woofstock” festival on Saturday.
Admission is free and there will be activities for the whole family including music, food, dog contests and pets ready to go home with the perfect family.
“The idea behind Woofstock this year is to bring it back to the shelter,” said Amy Peterson, co-chair of the event. “We wanted to open up to our community and show them this beautiful facility, introduce them to our staff and all of our volunteers and what we have here so that they begin to connect with the really great dogs and cats we have here for when they’re looking for a pet to adopt.”…
