Fire officials said Friday that open doors fueled the five-alarm apartment building inferno that killed two people and hurt nearly a dozen in the Bronx earlier this week.
It took just three-and-a-half minutes for firefighters to arrive on scene Tuesday afternoon at the five-story residential building on East 187th Street in Belmont, between Belmont and Cambreleng avenues.
