BUFFALO, N.Y. — Back in April of 2022, we were telling you about the mission to save the iconic World War II ship, USS The Sullivans, which was then facing major issues to remain intact at the Buffalo Naval and Military Park.
Now four years later 2 On Your Side got an update on the major overall repair effort for that historic World War II ship and the adjacent submarine the USS Croaker.
USS The Sullivans was badly listing and partially submerged in April of 2022 as river water flooded through the deteriorating razor-thin steel hull of the historic destroyer which was saved. And there were more subsequent leaks in the Sullivans and the Croaker submarine…
