Chattanooga serves as tanker base as South Georgia wildfires burn nearly 40,00 acres

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — We’ve learned Chattanooga is playing a role in the fight against two of the worst fires in the US right now.

The fires in South Georgia have burned across nearly 40,000 acres of land with the governor declaring a state of emergency.

Georgia Brian Kemp toured some of the damage on Friday.
