Fort Wayne unemployment drops as $200 million childcare investment aims to boost workforce

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — New data shows more people are working across northeast Indiana, but local leaders say a major barrier is still keeping some families on the sidelines.

According to the Indiana Department of Workforce Development, the Fort Wayne metro unemployment rate fell to 3.4% in February, down from 3.9% one year ago.
