Hoboken man busted with heroin & cocaine following month-long investigation

A Hoboken man was busted with heroin and cocaine following a month-long investigation spurred by concerned residents, officials said Friday.

“I commend the thorough work of our Street Crimes Unit, who saw this case from start to finish. We take all resident complaints seriously and will continue to act on them. Drug activity is not tolerated in Hoboken,” Police Chief Steven Aguiar said in a statement.

Investigators with the Hoboken Police Department’s Street Crimes Unit identified Tajhmere Rhone as the suspect in multiple narcotics transactions, and ultimately determined he was distributing controlled dangerous substances (CDS) from his residence on the 300 block of Harrison Street, a part of the Hoboken Housing Authority.

Today at approximately 5 a.m., Hoboken police, with the assistance of the Hudson County Regional SWAT Team, executed a warrant and safely arrested Rhone at his home…
