Second suspect wanted for Church Point home invasion shooting

CHURCH POINT, La. (NEWS 15) — A second suspect is wanted in connection with a home invasion shooting, according to the Church Point Police Department.

Authorities reported warrants have been issued for Savion Chavis, 21, of Church Point, stemming from an ongoing investigation into a home invasion shooting on Arceneaux Street on April 9.

Police previously arrested Jamarcus Lorden, 19, also of Church Point, in connection with the case. He is charged with eight counts of attempted second-degree murder, illegal use of a weapon, five counts of aggravated assault with a firearm, and aggravated criminal damage to property.
