Man facing rape charges in Albuquerque back in custody after removing ankle monitor

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A man who KRQE News 13 has reported on many times before, with a lengthy criminal history, is now back in custody, after removing an ankle monitor, while awaiting a rape trial. Two years ago, Andrew Miller was charged with raping two women while he was working as a senior pastor of a local church. Police said that he told the victims that he was producing a reality TV show in Albuquerque.

Miller was previously released under surveillance on an ankle monitor, but on Thursday, a judge decided to hold him in custody after he removed it. Miller pleaded not guilty to all five of the rape charges. His three-day jury trial is scheduled to start next month…
