VA clinic in Colorado Springs closed Friday due to staffing

The Department of Veterans Affairs provided FOX21 News with a statement related to the closure of the Vet Express Clinic at the PFC Floyd K. Lindstrom Clinic on Friday, April 24.

The VA Eastern Colorado Health Care System’s (VA ECHCS) Vet Express Clinic, which provides walk-in, same-day care for Veterans experiencing new or acute symptoms, was closed on Friday, April 24, after the clinic’s two physicians called in sick. Veterans were notified about the one-day closure on Facebook, no scheduled appointments were disrupted, and the clinic is expected to resume normal operations on Monday, April 27.

Veterans seeking walk-in care on Friday were supported by the nearby the Floyd K. Lindstrom Clinic. No scheduled appointments were affected by the temporary closure.
