‘I need everybody’: Mobile businessman makes plea to politicians after being trapped in Honduras

MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — A Mobile businessman is stuck thousands of miles away from home after being put on house arrest in Honduras.

Murray Farmer was there to clean up legal matters from decades ago when he was cuffed on the spot.

He’s now asking politicians to help get the charges dropped and return home to the U.S. after spending more than a month on house arrest.

WKRG News 5’s Kathryn Bruch spoke with him through Zoom on Friday. He wore a jacket with a “39” on it, signifying the number of days he’s been trapped in a foreign land.

“I wake up at 4:00 in the morning, every day, get on my computer, get on my AI, I’ve trained my AI, I’m working on it all day long with my lawyers,” Farmer said. “Just producing reports all day… trying to get out of here.”…
