SHIOCTON (WLUK) — Every day has been a cleanup day since residents were let back into Shiocton after the recent historic flooding.
However, Saturday was perhaps the most planned out community-wide effort. The goal: to get a big head start on what’s going to be a long recovery.
“Whether piling sandbags or hauling them and placing them to now the community coming together, it doesn’t matter who you are, where you live, who had what going on in their past, it is everyone for their neighbors right now,” said Garrett Zimmerman, superintendent of the School District of Shiocton.
