Storms are beginning to move into northwestern Arkansas as of around 5:30 PM this Saturday. A severe thunderstorm watch is in place for much of the northwest, with Crawford and Sebastian counties under a tornado watch. These storms could bring large hail, damaging winds, and a low tornado threat as they continue pushing east this evening.
More storms will develop across Oklahoma tonight, with most activity staying in western Arkansas. Central Arkansas may see a stray shower, but the stronger storms should remain to the west. By Sunday morning, everything clears out, leading to a mostly sunny afternoon.
We’re also watching another low-end severe risk early next week. Monday looks focused on northeastern Arkansas, with the threat shifting toward central and southern areas by Tuesday. Timing and storm coverage are still uncertain, but some locations could pick up around an inch of rain. Stay tuned for updates…
