1 dead after boat strikes Mount Pleasant dock Saturday night: SCDNR

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — One person is dead after a boat struck a dock near Mount Pleasant Saturday night, according to the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources.

SCDNR said that the boat departed from Shem Creek with seven people on board before striking the dock. One person was pronounced dead on the scene, while the remaining occupants were transported to a local hospital and subsequently released, according to the agency.
