An early-morning crash in Opa-Locka on Sunday turned deadly when a car slammed into two parked vehicles, killing the driver and critically injuring two women, authorities said. The impact at Northwest 27th Avenue and 135th Street was so severe that the driver was ejected, and the intersection was shut down as Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office deputies launched a full investigation.
The crash happened around 7:10 a.m., according to Local 10, which reported that three people were rushed to hospitals by helicopter as trauma alerts. Local 10 also noted that there was no immediate word on what caused the crash.
