SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – April is ending on a dry track. We’re nearly two and a half inches (2.47”) below average rain for the year. There are two cold fronts approaching that could bring some rain. We’re tracking a weak cold front is moving through the Southeast, and while it’ll bring a few isolated showers to inland areas Sunday and Monday, the coastal areas of the Suncoast will stay mostly dry. There is a second front we’re watching for next Sunday, and it may bring a chance of more widespread thunderstorms.
