Fermi America, the Texas Panhandle outfit trying to build what it calls the world’s largest private power grid, just blew up its own org chart. Co-founder Toby Neugebauer is out as CEO, though he keeps his board seat. CFO Miles Everson also resigned, then joined the board through a designation tied to a family trust. Lead independent director Marius Haas was named chairman, and energy and tech veteran Jeffrey S. Stein was added to the board.
Fermi set up an “Office of the CEO” to keep things moving. Former COO Jacobo Ortiz Blanes and former board advisor Anna Bofa are sharing the top operational job as co-presidents while the search for a permanent chief executive plays out. Both report to Haas.
