(WKBN) – From time to time, the Ohio Department of Transportation will put out safety warnings about driving habits that can be dangerous.
Just recently, ODOT District 11 warned drivers about stopping on the highway to allow ramp merges during lane closures. This is not safe. ODOT says that ramp traffic must yield and that mainline traffic does not stop.
ODOT was referencing a construction situation on U.S. 250 in Tuscarawas County, noting several incidents where they have seen drivers stopped on the highway to let ramp traffic merge…
