Authorities looking for L.A. inmate who walked away from reentry program

The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation is looking for an inmate who allegedly walked away from a Male Community Reentry Program in Los Angeles Sunday.

The inmate, 24-year-old Jose Barrios, removed his GPS tracker and left the facility sometime before 2:30 p.m., authorities said.

“Officials immediately launched a search and conducted an emergency count of the MCRP, confirming Barrios was missing,” the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation said…
