WAKULLA COUNTY, Fla. (WCTV) – The community came together this weekend for the 53rd annual Stephen C. Smith Memorial Regatta, a long-running tradition that blends sailing, remembrance and fundraising.
The family-oriented event honors Stephen C. Smith, a local sailor who died from a rare form of leukemia at age 29. Over the years, the regatta has grown into a fundraiser supporting programs through the American Cancer Society.
