Monarch Butterfly Festival

New Port Richey Public Library, 5939 Main St. Attendees can enjoy environmental presentations, children’s activities, live music, local artisan goods, and butterfly-themed art. Keynote speaker Shawn “The Milkweed Man” will lead an engaging presentation on milkweed care and cultivation. Participating organizations include the Sierra Club, New Port Richey FarmNet, and the Environmental Committee, offering insight into ecological regeneration and conservation.

Touch-the-Truck

1-3 p.m. Saturday, May 2. Firehouse Subs, 1824 Bruce B. Downs Blvd., Wesley Chapel. In honor of International Firefighters’ Day (May 4), Firehouse Subs restaurants across Tampa are inviting families to get up close with the real thing. Children and families will get a rare, hands-on chance to climb aboard a fire truck, explore the gear that saves lives, and meet local firefighters face-to-face.

Kentucky Derby Pub Crawl

12:30-3:30 p.m. April 30. Elfers Senior Center, 4136 Barker Drive, New Port Richey. Held every Thursday. Come and enjoy all kinds of board and card games.
