SOUTHBOROUGH — In the fall of 2024, the Community Advocate reported that after decades of abandonment, the former Andrea Restaurant on Route 9 would finally see some development. Now, it’s up for sale again.
The shuttered restaurant – and a nearby vacant office building on Parkerville Road – had been purchased by Parkhaus 214 LLC, a division of Boston-based Transatlantic Investment Management Inc., for $1.25 million in December 2021, according to the Worcester Registry of Deeds. Site plans revealed that “Parkhous,” a clubhouse for car enthusiasts, would have replaced the landmark restaurant with a climate-controlled 54,000-square-foot facility for car collectors.
While pleased the eyesore would be revitalized, Select Board members at the time had hoped more “viable” businesses would come to Southborough…
