Reynoldsburg man pleads guilty to attempted murder of federal officers during Clark County hotel standoff

COLUMBUS, Ohio — A Franklin County man on Monday pleaded guilty to the attempted murder of federal officers after he fired several rounds at them in a Springfield hotel, according to U.S. Attorney Dominick S. Gerace’s office.

On Aug. 14, 2025, 35-year-old Andre Jordan, of Reynoldsburg, was tracked by the Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team (SOFAST) to a Quality Inn in Springfield.

When law enforcement announced their presence, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said Jordan fired a shot through the window toward the pool area, which was in the vicinity of the officers and federal agents. The officers and agents retreated to take cover, and Jordan fired another round into the hallway where they had been standing…
