Wind advisory in place for Northern Erie and Southern Erie until Tuesday midday – gusts could peak at 55 mph

On Monday at 1:35 p.m. the National Weather Service issued a wind advisory valid from 11 p.m. until Tuesday 11 a.m. for Northern Erie and Southern Erie.

The weather service informs, “Southeasterly to southerly winds of 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 55 mph expected.”

“Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result,” explains the weather service. “Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for those in high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.”
