New 24/7 shelter helps 248 Fort Wayne residents escape cold

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) – Fort Wayne’s Office of Housing & Neighborhood Services and local nonprofit agencies reported that winter emergency shelter efforts provided 4,055 safe shelter nights for people experiencing homelessness.

The winter contingency emergency shelter plan ran from December 1, 2025, through March 31, 2026.
