Redstone Arsenal commuters face traffic delays as staffing shortages impact gate operations

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) – Commuters heading onto Redstone Arsenal are continuing to face traffic delays as staffing shortages at security gates impact the morning commute.

Arsenal leaders say between 45,000 and 50,000 vehicles enter the base each day. Chief of Guards Jonathan Arcand says federal hiring cuts and Huntsville’s continued growth have made gate staffing a challenge.
