HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Four Huntsville police officers are being recognized for bravery after coming under gunfire during a 2025 incident in which they confronted an armed suspect, according to the Huntsville Police Department.
Officers Croley, Johnson, Burkett and Underwood were recently awarded the department’s Meritorious Service Medal, a distinction that honors exceptional service and bravery in the line of duty.
