JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Severe weather and high winds swept across Mississippi over the weekend, leaving many residents without power and causing damage across the Jackson-metro area.
Fallen trees and downed power lines were reported in several neighborhoods. In some areas, large trees blocked roadways, forcing cleanup crews to work throughout the weekend to clear debris and restore access. Officials said strong winds were the primary cause of the damage.
