Neenah police find no “Fowl Play” as they respond to animal complaint

NEENAH, Wis. (WFRV) – Police in Neenah say no “fowl play” was detected as they responded to a Monday morning animal complaint.

According to a post on social media, officers with the Neenah Police Department responded at 8:48 a.m. for an animal complaint regarding a possibly injured larger-sized bird in the area of South Green Bay Road and West Cecil Street.

One sergeant arrived and was able to help take the turkey to a wooded area behind the City Garage, where it is said to have jumped out of the car and ran towards the woods before taking flight.

Regarding the situation, Sergeant Edwards said he was “just doing his duty” when it came to helping out the turkey, and while handling the situation, he did not detect any “fowl play.”…
