SHAWANO COUNTY, WI – Road construction is now underway on Highway BE in Bonduel, bringing detours and temporary changes that drivers will need to plan around over the coming weeks.
Bonduel Municipal Operations Director Jesse Rankin says the project will keep Highway BE closed to through traffic until June 1st, with access limited to local residents and businesses along the route. “The county’s official word is the road is closed long-term until June 1st,” Rankin said. “It’s not meant to be used as a corridor, only for people who live there or need to reach businesses.”
To help drivers navigate the closure, an official detour has been set up. Motorists are encouraged to take Highway 22 to County Road C, then head south on Highway 117. Rankin says the route is marked, but drivers should still allow for a little extra time, especially during peak travel hours…
