Mesa police to ramp up DUI patrols for Cinco de Mayo

MESA, Ariz. — Mesa police will conduct increased DUI enforcement operations May 5 as part of the annual Cinco de Mayo DUI Task Force, a valley-wide effort to reduce impaired driving during the holiday.

Officers will be deployed during peak hours from 5 p.m. to 3 a.m. The operation is carried out in partnership with the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety and aims to remove impaired drivers from the road and reduce collision rates tied to intoxicated driving.
