A Millcreek Township meeting set for today is expected to draw significant public interest as debate continues over newly installed license plate reader cameras at the Millcreek Mall.
The Flock Safety cameras were recently placed at five main mall entrances, where they scan and log license plates as vehicles enter and exit. Police say the system can help track stolen vehicles, locate suspects and support ongoing investigations.
But the installation has raised concerns among some residents who question how the data is collected, stored and used. A petition opposing the cameras has gathered more than 400 signatures, and organizers say they plan to attend today’s meeting to voice their objections…
