Man pleads guilty in 2025 Summit County DUI crash that killed 18-year-old

AKRON, Ohio (WOIO) – Summit County Prosecutor Elliot Kolkovich announced Tuesday that a man plead guilty to an indictment for a vehicular homicide that occurred in 2025.

According to the prosecutor’s office, 23-year-old George Taylor, of Hartville, killed 18-year-old Isabelle Grubaugh in a crash in 2025 and plead guilty to the following charges:

  • One count of aggravated vehicular homicide, a second degree felony
  • One count of operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, a first degree misdemeanor
  • One count of operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol with a breath alcohol concentration of 0.17 or higher, a first degree misdemeanor

In May 2025, the Ohio State Highway Patrol Canton Dispatch Center received a call from the Springfield Township dispatch to assist with a single-vehicle accident.
