PUNTA GORDA, Fla. (WWSB) – An Honor Flight departed the Punta Gorda Airport just before 6 a.m. Tuesday, heading to Washington, D.C., with a full plane of veterans, guardians, loved ones and friends.
The early-morning sendoff included a water salute as the aircraft lifted off, marking what many describe as a once-in-a-lifetime trip to honor those who served.
