CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) – Florosa Bakery and Flowers celebrated a ribbon cutting Tuesday after opening its shared space with Jbird Coffee about a month ago.
Owner and baker Christina Martin said the bakery grew from pop-ups in different restaurants and weekends at the Charlottesville City Market and IX’s Market.
Martin is blending her family’s Nicaraguan roots, local ingredients and fine-dining technique into every batch. The name Florosa means “full of flowers” in Latin, and Martin uses flowers in many of her baked goods…
