CLEARWATER, Fla. — A World War II sailor who died while in action is receiving a proper burial this weekend in Clearwater.
Robert Cyr Jr. died on an anti-submarine mission in the South Pacific during WWII. He was reported missing to his parents on Jan. 24, 1944, and was issued an official death certificate on Feb. 22 of that year.
