HARRISBURG, Pa. (WKBN) – A former employee with the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services is accused of stealing SNAP and TANF benefits and giving them to unauthorized people for profit.
Prosecutors say Eboni Navae Royster was employed in the Lancaster County Assistance Office when she used her access to obtain private information of clients and used that information to call the PA DHS electronic benefits hotline to change EBT cards’ PIN numbers.
Once this occurred, six victims’ EBT cards were used to complete transactions totaling $6,570.25 at retail food stores across Lancaster and York Counties by individuals who had no authorization to use them…
