Chester County rescue at capacity after taking in neglected pets from Lancaster County

CHESTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — The Pennsylvania SPCA’s Main Line Animal Rescue in Phoenixville has reached capacity after taking in dozens of cats and dogs from Lancaster County, and staff members said many of the rescued pets are now facing serious medical needs.

Caretakers at the Chester County rescue said the dogs and cats that were saved are dealing with severe medical issues, but recovery has been unbelievable, according to Lisa Maggio, the site director of the rescue.
