Man accused of pointing gun at residents in Antioch caught after police pursuit

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Metro police arrested a man accused of pointing a gun at people in a residential Antioch neighborhood, then leading officers on a pursuit.

Court documents said on April 27, officers responded to multiple reports of a man in a black Dodge Charger who was blocking the road near Artelia Drive and Dowdy Drive and pointing a gun at people. Officers found the car in the area and saw a man inside with a white T-shirt covering his face —identified as Victor Martinez-Alencoste, 27— displaying a gun. Documents also noted that the license plate on the Charger was registered to a Ford Fusion.

Reports said detectives attempted a traffic stop on the car, but it fled. A brief pursuit ensued, and spike strips were used to disable the Charger’s tires. A Tennessee Highway Patrol helicopter unit assisted with tracking the car, and reported that it ran a stop sign while other cars were at the same intersection…
