Man pleads guilty after fleeing scene of crash near Rhode Island casino that ejected, killed girlfriend

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Attorney General Peter Neronha announced today that a Pawtucket man has pleaded to multiple charges in Providence County Superior Court for his role in the driving death of 34-year-old Nanleomariz Albizu during the early morning hours of New Year’s Day in 2022.

At a hearing on Monday, before Justice Luis Matos, 47-year-old Gregory Miller entered a plea of nolo contendere to one count of failure to stop after being involved in a crash that resulted in death and one count of driving to endanger resulting in death.

Miller is scheduled to be sentenced on July 17, 2026…
