STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The NYC TD Five Boro Bike Tour returns Sunday, May 3, taking cyclists 40 miles through all five boroughs.
The event, which is billed as the largest charity bike ride in the world, begins in Lower Manhattan and travels briefly into the Bronx before heading to Queens, Brooklyn and finally crossing the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge to conclude at a finish festival at Fort Wadsworth.
About 32,000 cyclists are expected to participate, and many will take the Staten Island Ferry home after the ride. To accommodate the extra passengers on Sunday, the ferry will run every 20 minutes from 6 to 11 a.m., every 15 minutes from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., and every 30 minutes for the rest of the day.
