Man arrested with 10 kilos of meth headed for Amarillo asks judge to delay his trial

AMARILLO, Texas (KVII) — A man who was arrested with 10 kilos of meth headed for Amarillo asked a judge to delay his trial.

Nemecio Villanueva, 29, is charged with conspiracy to distribute or possess with intent to distribute 500 grams or more of methamphetamine, and possession with intent to distribute 500 grams or more of methamphetamine.

According to the criminal complaint, Villanueva was stopped by Childress police around 1:30 a.m. on Feb. 25 for speeding. Police said there were inconsistencies in his reasons for his trip…
