AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — A man was arrested by a federal agent in Amarillo after a traffic stop in Childress in February.
According to court documents, Nemecio Armando Villanueva was arrested on one count of “Possession with Intent to Distribute of 500 Grams or More of Methamphetamine.”
Documents noted that Villanueva was pulled over in Childress by a Childress police officer in February for alleged speeding. During the traffic stop, the officer allegedly “noticed indicators of criminal activity afoot.”

Documents noted that the officer requested consent to search the vehicle, and Villanueva denied. Another officer deployed a Childress Police Department service K-9, who allegedly alerted to the presence of narcotics in the vehicle, and a probable cause search was initiated…
