One of the great things about summer in Amarillo is all the outdoor events. We love getting outside in nature, as long as it isn’t too hot or there is at least some shade. One of the fun pastimes on the weekends is to go to a local farmers’ market and stock up on fresh fruits and produce.
Why Amarillo Farmers’ Markets Are a Must-Visit Each Summer
One of the perks of this area is the abundance of farmers’ markets. We’ve had a little bit of that fun with some of the spring markets that have popped up over the last few weeks, but now we count down the days until summer and all the farmers’ markets officially open. I have thoroughly enjoyed visiting each one and finding one-of-a-kind items.
While we all have access to fruits and veggies at the grocery store, there is just something about getting a fresh cob of corn picked right off the stalk, or a strawberry that was just picked the night before…
