It’s fun to watch as Amarillo gets behind different celebrations. I mean, we know there is a National Day for just about anything. If you want to celebrate it, there is a day, just look it up. It’s there.
One day that has more recently become popular is Star Wars Day. While fans have celebrated for decades, it truly hit the mainstream around 2011. I looked it up. That is when it started to become recognizably known. Here we are, and everyone now associates May 4 as Star Wars Day.
You will hear “May the 4th be with you” several times that day, I am sure. So places tend to celebrate it as well. We have grand openings that tie in well with the date. We have movie events.
An Adults-Only Atmosphere: No Padawans Allowed
