Man accused of assaulting officer while resisting arrest at Lincoln gas station

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – A man is charged with third-degree assault on an officer after allegedly resisting arrest at a Lincoln gas station.

Tyler McManaman, 36, was arraigned in Lancaster County Court on Monday. His bond was set at 10% of $150,000.

Court documents show that a Lincoln police officer was traveling eastbound on Nebraska Parkway in his police cruiser shortly before 12:36 a.m. when he came into contact with McManaman. The officer and McManaman were stopped at the same red light on S. 84th Street.

While stopped, the officer became aware that McManaman was a suspect in a domestic case that was reported the day before and had probable cause to arrest him on suspicion of domestic assault, according to court documents…
