Semi hauling 40,000 lbs. of chicken catches fire, shuts down interstate in Millersville

MILLERSVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – A semi hauling thousands of pounds of chicken caught fire while traveling into Millersville early Wednesday morning.

According to the Tennessee Department of Transportation, a fire sparked on a tractor-trailer that was carrying 40,000 lbs. of chicken through Goodlettsville around 4 a.m. on Wednesday.

The driver pulled over at mile marker 100, which is in Millersville, and fire crews responded as the fire consumed the trailer.
