The Florida Department of Transportation is advising motorists of overnight ramp closures on Interstate 75 in Ocala as work continues on a major infrastructure enhancement project.
From Wednesday, April 29, through Thursday, April 30, crews will close the southbound I-75 on-ramp from U.S. 27 and the southbound off-ramp to State Road 40. The closures will be in effect each night from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. to allow for milling and resurfacing operations.
To navigate the closures, FDOT has established the following detour routes:
- U.S. 27 to Southbound I-75: Motorists traveling on U.S. 27 who need to access southbound I-75 will be directed to travel east on U.S. 27, turn south on NW 27th Avenue, and then travel west on S.R. 40 to reach the I-75 interchange.
- Southbound I-75 to S.R. 40: Motorists traveling southbound on I-75 wishing to exit at S.R. 40 will be directed to continue south to the S.R. 200 exit. From there, drivers should travel east on S.R. 200 and turn left (north) on SW 27th Avenue to reach S.R. 40.
These improvements are part of a larger effort to enhance I-75 in Marion County from S.R. 200 to S.R. 326…
