‘We were so happy’: Bond Elementary students have special lunch with vegetables they grew themselves

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Students at Bond Elementary had a special lunch on Tuesday, eating the vegetables they grew from their own classrooms.

Students were given a “grow kit” in partnership with Sunrise Rotary and Legacy Greens Farm in Quincy to learn about healthy eating and growing your own produce.

“I never made microgreens at my house,” said second-grade student Anjalic. “That was fun and some of them were spicy.”…
