CHICAGO (WGN) — The man accused of murdering a Chicago police officer evaded parole, escaped from electronic monitoring, and managed to drop off the radar for more than a month before the deadly shooting.
Despite a series of new safeguards authorities said were in place to improve the response when a major violation of electronic monitoring occurs, it appears the information in Alphanso Talley’s case instead took more than 48 hours to reach a judge.
An internal review is now underway at the order of Cook County Circuit Court Chief Judge Charles Beach into the matter, his office confirmed to WGN…
